Founded in 2005, SHIVHON is fine source for contemporary furniture and hand woven rugs from Nepal and India for use in residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces. We work closely with interior designers, architects, and discriminating homeowners. Our rug workroom is the finest Nepalese producer of Tibetan carpets, a mill that preserves the tradition of a centuries old art. Pure Tibetan wool and silk is hand-carded, hand-spun, and pot-dyed then hand-knotted on a traditional loom to produce a carpet with a unique luster and durability. Not only do we offer an extensive collection of rug patterns to choose from, but we are happy to produce custom patterns, colors and sizes upon request.

Our Aim
Our aim is for timeless furniture , accessories, and area rugs-be it contemporary, tropical or Asian in inspiration. Our pieces rarely reflect the latest trends. Rather with passion and focus we choose a more thoughtful approach to our designs. Paying attention to details and working with natural fibers and finishes. We respect the natural environment and seek to create products that exude comfort, harmony, and an understated elegance.
Our Process
All of our rugs are hand woven, and require no machinery to be assembled. The fibers are combed and spun by hand and are made from all natural products that come from animal and plant fibers. These fibers are generally Tibetan wool and silk. These natural fibers are beneficial for the environment in that they are biodegradable, renewable, sustainable, non-allergenic, and naturally stain-resistant and air purifying.
