Founded in 2005, SHIVHON produces fine handmade carpets from Nepal for use in residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces. We work closely with interior designers, architects, and discriminating homeowners. Our workroom is the finest Nepalese producer of Tibetan carpets, a mill that preserves the tradition of a centuries old art. Pure Tibetan wool and silk is hand-carded, hand-spun, and pot-dyed then hand-knotted on a traditional loom to produce a carpet with a unique luster and durability. Not only do we offer an extensive collection of patterns to choose from, but we are happy to produce custom patterns, colors and sizes upon request.

Our Mission

Our Aim
Our aim is for timeless soft flooring options-be it contemporary, tropical or Asian in inspiration. Our patterns rarely reflect the latest trends. Rather with passion and focus we choose a more thoughtful approach to our designs. Paying attention to details and working with natural fibers. We respect the natural environment and seek to create carpets that exude comfort, harmony, and an understated barefoot elegance.
Our Process
All of our carpets are hand woven, and require no machinery to be assembled. The fibers are combed and spun by hand and are made from all natural products that come from animal and plant fibers. These fibers are generally Tibetan wool and silk. These natural fibers are beneficial for the environment in that they are biodegradable, renewable, sustainable, non-allergenic, and naturally stain-resistant and air purifying.
